Implementation Support<\/b><\/p>\n

Every teacher or school adopting an Edinumen series is\n supported at every stage of the implementation process and\n during program development to ensure everything is a\n success. This support is designed as an ongoing\n experience:<\/p>\n

  1. Onboarding stage. <\/b>Upon confirmation of adoption\n Edinumen USA personnel works with the District Supervisor to\n schedule a plan for the rollout of the new program. This plan\n includes training of teachers in the use of the textbook, its\n components and also in the use of the digital resources\n (ELEteca). Our customer service and support staff in the\n Edinumen office in the USA is there to help. \n
      \n
    1. Start-up Training<\/b>. An Edinumen senior consultant\n visits the adopting district to deliver a face-to-face\n session with the teachers to demonstrate how the program can\n be easily implemented, and to provide practical tips on how\n to take advantage of the active learning approach and the\n other resources available.<\/li>\n
    2. Digital on-boarding assistance:<\/b> We understand that\n the initial usage of new digital materials is a sensitive\n period with specific challenges that must be anticipated and attended to in advance to achieve a smooth and fully satisfying user experience from the beginning of the school year. Aspects related to initial class set up, such as the process for creating user accounts, roster management, class configurations, and enrollments, are especially important. To help to make this process\n smoother, Edinumen relies on a unique set of tools and a\n dedicated Senior IT Institutional support team to assist with\n school onboarding. This team will work with the district's\n designated IT manager to accommodate the solution that best\n meets district preferences. Solutions can range from implementing an integrated solution (such as\n Single Sign On and\/or automated rostering maintenance with\n the district SIS, Clever or other LMSs such as Canvas,\n Schoology, Blackboard, etc\u2026) to providing live technicians and the automated tools and templates needed to easily manage the most common actions, in bulk, using\n pre-agreed formats and procedures.<\/li>\n <\/ol>\n
    3. Continuous follow-up.<\/b> Twice a year Edinumen will\n provide a \u201cvirtual encounter\u201d or e-conference as follow-up,\n open to any Spanish teacher in the district. The motive and\n objective of the conference is to cultivate lines of\n communication among Spanish teachers in the district, share\n experiences and identify and share best practices. <\/li>\n <\/ol>\n

      Plan for Professional Development to Accompany Adoption of Edinumen Materials<\/b><\/p>\n

      Edinumen understands the urgent need for effective and\n contextualized professional development to accompany the\n adoption and use of our materials, and we stand prepared and\n committed to support our adopters in every way that we can. In\n the USA we have assembled a strong team of experts and PD\n professionals who are prepared to deliver high-quality training\n to your teachers, in addition to two excellent online learning\n programs, produced in collaboration with world experts in\n Spanish language learning like the Instituto Cervantes and\n University of Salamanca. <\/p>\n

      • Part 1. Each adopting school district will receive at least\n one in-service training day to be delivered live in the\n district, at a date, time and location to be agreed upon with the\n District Supervisor.<\/li>\n
      • Part 2. All Spanish teachers in an adopting school district\n will have access to two online professional development\n programs. This practical online experience equips teachers\n with the necessary tools to implement the methodology to\n optimum effect in the classroom.<\/li>\n

        • The Active Learning Program.<\/i> These five courses,\n each lasting five hours, focus on the fundamental aspects\n that must be present in world language classes to provide\n meaningful, motivating and effective learning. These\n five-hour courses establish the pillars on which Spanish teachers\n will easily build instruction around the new educational trends reflected in\n ACTFL and state standards to help students achieve the\n skills necessary to obtain the targeted level of\n communication. The five courses, delivered in Spanish, are:<\/li>\n

          • Inductive Learning<\/i>. Inductive learning in\n grammar; concepts, techniques, pros and cons.<\/li>\n
          • Real Life Learning<\/i>. Learning through experiences;\n new contexts for learning. <\/li>\n

          • Cultural and Intercultural Learning<\/i>. An approach\n to non-verbal communication in Spanish as a foreign\n language; how to avoid cultural misunderstandings.<\/li>\n
          • Social and Emotional Relevance<\/i>. How do heritage\n Spanish speakers fare in American classrooms, and how can\n teachers best support their learning?<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n
          • A Program of Specialty Professional Development Courses<\/i>:\n Adoption includes free access by all teachers to seven\n courses with 13 hours of work each to develop specialized\n teaching competencies in Spanish language teaching,\n presented by experts in the field and including expanded\n resources. Teachers completing the seven courses qualify for\n an official diploma and certificate of completion from the\n University of Salamanca, in Spain. Courses are presented in\n Spanish.<\/li>\n

            • Part 3. Extension options:<\/li>\n

              • Extension Scholarship<\/i>. Thanks to the\n exclusive agreement between Edinumen and University of\n Salamanca in the US, teachers interested in gaining additional expertise in any of these 7 competencies may enroll in the extension\n program at the University of Salamanca with a 50% grant.\n Each of these international online programs includes 88\n contact hours and an official certificate from the University of\n Salamanca. Edinumen is firmly committed to the training and\n development of Spanish teachers.<\/li>\n
              • University Certificate in Spanish Language Teaching\n Scholarship<\/i>. Those teachers with the desire to\n undertake the challenge of further developing their\n teaching capacity can participate in this postgraduate\n program of the University of Salamanca. Edinumen will provide\n them support with a 50% grant. The program is divided into\n eight specialization courses, of which teachers must\n complete a minimum of six through a flexible schedule of 575\n hours of work.
