This is the story of Dongo, who wants to become his clan’s new chief to stop the looting of neighboring tribes. His friend Nago helps him acquire the lionskin mantle he needs to rule over, but it’s not an easy task. The author address the themes of justice and peace throughout the narrative, and how it is the leader’s role to secure the settlement.
