La paloma Palometa

Author: Isabel Campos Adrados

Illustrations: Rebeca Luciani

Synopsis

This is the story of Palometa (“Paloma” literally means “Dove” in spanish), a dove whose joy over laying her first egg makes her want to sing her own song, different from those of the other doves around her. In this loving tale, the author develops the theme of identity from the perspective of spoken language and guides the reader to think about linguistic richness and the need to respect all voices, even the ones apart from the “nest.”

A book to reflect and discuss linguistic diversity, cultural expression, and respect for diversity.
