Told with humor, this story is a girl’s homage to her grandmother. Shortly after her grandma’s demise, young Mabel discovers that her grandmother devoted herself to magic tricks, especially hypnotism. Mabel wishes to inherit her grandmother’s abilities and throws herself into hypnotizing her family. She succeeds and finds that it takes away her sadness and becomes a path to recovery from her grandmother’s death.
