The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR, or MCER in Spanish) is a European standard for measuring the level of comprehension and oral and written expression of a given language.
The Plan curricular del Instituto Cervantes develops and determines the Spanish proficiency level descriptors according to the recommendations found in the European Framework (CEFR).
